Makeup for Black & White Photography

This is a session in my makeup school about black and white photography. This is a bit tricky because we have to convert the colours into black and white. So pastel colours will appear white on the picture. The really dark colours appear black. 

Inspiration for these look is Marilyn Monroe. Very vintage, pin up girl look. Perfect dark eyeliner, just a hint of brown eye shadow and Perfect RED lips!




To make the perfect lips you need: Lip Liner, Lip Stick and Lipgloss. However, for the purpose of black and white photography, we'll skip the lipgloss because it will appear too light on the picture.

Step 1: Apply red lip liner on the lips, starting on the upper and middle lip, or the "cupid's bow". Then make sure your line is straight when you're outlining the lips. Fill the lips in with the lip liner,

Step 2. Apply the red lipstick on the lip liner. Making sure that it stays inside the lip liner.

Step 3: practice, practice practice! You might not get the perfect lips on the first go but don't worry, practice makes perfect.
